Today, ASPIRE PAC (the political arm of Asian American and Pacific Islander Members of Congress), CHC BOLD PAC (the political arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus), and the Congressional Black Caucus PAC (the political arm of African American Members of Congress) announced the joint endorsement of seven candidates who will help take back the House for Democrats in November. Between the three memberships combined, they form more than half of the Democratic Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The endorsed candidates are Gil Cisneros in California’s 39th Congressional District, Antonio Delgado in New York’s 19th Congressional District, Steven Horsford in Nevada’s 4th Congressional District, Gina Ortiz Jones in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District, Aftab Pureval in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District, Xochitl Torres Small in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, and Lauren Underwood in Illinois’ 14th Congressional District.
“ASPIRE PAC is proud to join BOLD PAC and the CBC PAC in supporting these candidates, who are all champions for their communities and will make excellent colleagues in Congress. Diversity is our party’s strength, and our organizations are stronger when we collaborate. I’m excited to continue working together to help these dynamic candidates to victory on Election Day,” said Rep. Grace Meng, Chair of ASPIRE PAC.
“The American people have made it perfectly clear that they are sick of the divisive rhetoric and destructive policies. They want real leaders and real solutions, and that's exactly why BOLD PAC is proud to stand with ASPIRE and CBC PAC to endorse these highly qualified candidates for Congress,” said Rep. Tony Cárdenas, Chair of CHC BOLD PAC. “We are excited to continue working together to help these candidates to November and I am confident they will play a pivotal role in helping take back the House.”
“The CBCPAC is excited to join ASPIRE PAC and the BOLD PAC in ensuring these candidates have a victorious election season. We have long supported a diverse range of candidates who champion our shared interests. As an organization that has been on the frontlines of the battle to protect the values we hold dear as Americans, we are proud to lend our support to these candidates, who have exemplified great leadership for all Americans,” said Rep. Gregory Meeks, Chairman of the CBCPAC.
ASPIRE PAC, BOLD PAC, and the CBC PAC are proud to work together to increase diversity in Congress and empower underrepresented communities to participate in the political process. This is the first time the three organizations have joined forces to advance Democratic candidates toward victory.
