Congressional Black Caucus PAC Statement On Trump DOJ’s Campaign of Retribution Against New York Attorney General Letitia James

Washington, D.C. — Congressional Black Caucus PAC Chairman Rep. Gregory Meeks released the following statement on Trump’s Campaign of Retribution Against New York Attorney General Letitia James:

“The Trump DOJ indictment against New York Attorney General Letitia James is yet another example of Donald Trump and his administration's own lawlessness. This baseless attack represents his campaign of retribution against his so-called political enemies and has absolutely no merit. The American people see right through it.

“The Congressional Black Caucus is rock-solid in support of the rule of law, protecting the integrity of our democracy, and the obligation of elected officials like Ms. James to hold power to account – including the president. We are in full support of Letitia James and her right to do that work unfettered.”
